Beat Match Brunch with Mother Cyborg

Working towards a more diverse music culture in Detroit, I developed ‘Beat Match Brunch with Mother Cyborg,’ a zine and workshop series offered by the Seraphine Collective, teaching women-identified participants the science of djing with records. I have taught 24 women ranging from 20 to 79 years old who represent a set of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. The ‘Beatmatch Brunch’ zine now acts as the tool the women I taught use to teach others. I've learned in my career that zines have the ability to send ripples around the world influencing and create culture, shaping movements, and creating the space for diversity and inclusion to be fostered.

Here is a blog post with just about everything we need for this page
